What is H1 Owl?
A game-style study app for the Leaving Cert, covering Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Higher and Ordinary Level. A map of every syllabus, short lessons, quick drills that explain every answer, smart repetition of your mistakes, and mock exams with an indicative grade (H1 to H8).
How do I get it?
H1 Owl is on the App Store: download it for iPhone. All of Maths is free the moment you install, with no daily limit, and Pro adds Biology, Chemistry and Physics with a one-week free trial.
Is it official?
No. H1 Owl is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with the State Examinations Commission, the NCCA, the CAO or any school. Every practice question is original, written from the published NCCA syllabus, with a worked explanation for every answer.
Which syllabus does it follow?
The published NCCA specifications for each subject, at Higher and Ordinary Level. Maths follows the current syllabus, the one examined in June 2027 and June 2028; Biology, Chemistry and Physics follow the specifications for the 2027 exams.

What do I get for signing up with my email?
Two things. Straight away: The Leaving Cert Maths Game Plan, our free PDF guide with the grades and points tables, the 25 bonus explained, a month-by-month study plan and exam technique. After that: occasional study tips and app updates. Nothing else, no spam.
How much does it cost?
Maths is completely free, Higher and Ordinary, every strand, with no daily limit. H1 Owl Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, €44.99 per year or €6.99 per month, and adds Biology, Chemistry and Physics at both levels. The first week is free, and you can cancel anytime in your App Store settings.
How do refunds work?
Purchases go through the App Store, so refunds follow Apple’s standard policy. You request a refund directly from Apple and their rules apply.
How do I unsubscribe from the emails?
Email us from the address you signed up with and we delete it promptly. See our privacy policy for details.
