Higher Level
The living plant tissue that transports dissolved food, mainly sucrose, from the leaves to the rest of the plant. This movement is called translocation and can travel up or down the plant.
Ordinary Level
The living tubes in a plant that carry food made in the leaves to the rest of the plant.
